This journey began as two friends who shared a love for jewelry that felt elegant, refined, and deeply personal. We searched for pieces that honored Indian tradition yet carried a sophisticated modern touch—jewelry that was graceful and thoughtfully balanced. When we couldn’t find designs that resonated with our own style, we decided to create them ourselves right here in Bangalore. 

Our story began back in Grade 2, when we met and discovered a shared love for creativity — making handmade gifts and little art projects throughout school. Life took us down different paths: with each building successful careers in education and corporate HR, starting families, and taking on new responsibilities.Yet, the creative spark that bonded us never faded. In our thirties, we reconnected with a renewed sense of purpose.  Darshini took a leap of faith, leaving her teaching career to study gemology and jewelry design, immersing herself in the art and science of fine jewelry.  Shwetha transitioned from corporate HR to entrepreneurship, exploring design curation, online retail, and jewelry craftsmanship. Together, we trained in metal smithing and jewelry manufacturing, laying the foundation for what would become Nispaditha.

Although the jewelry world has long been centered around women, most decisions have traditionally been male-led. At Nispaditha, we wanted to bring a feminine perspective—jewelry created by women, for women. We design with intent, focusing as much on how a piece feels as how it looks. We love working closely with our clients to offer a personal, hands-on experience, customizing jewelry based on individual preferences. This commitment to bespoke service ensures every woman receives a piece of designer jewelry that truly feels made just for her.
